Frame makes many suggestions for preventing internet affairs or dealing with past affairs. If a spouse is already engaging in online relationships that threaten the marriage, the first step towards recovery should be to remove the problem at the source: remove the computer or move it to a more public location. Frame also writes that in order to rebuild a marriage, “there must be an admission of the problem, with confession and forgiveness, plus a system of accountability” (Internet Infidelity: It Doesn't Take A Physical Act To Betray Your Vows). In his article, he lists eight ways to prevent online affairs, because the best method to avoid internet affairs is to prevent them.
