Some people believe that internet relationships and cyber-sex are not really cheating; these people believe that an affair only happens when the relationship is physically consummated. Dr. Joy Browne, a radio talk-show host, admits that she is “one of those people who says no body fluids exchanged is not an affair” (CBS News: A Look At Internet Infidelity). On the other hand, others believe that an affair happens whenever there is a strong emotional connection between the involved parties. Marriage counselor Tim Gardner maintains that “infidelity begins at the point of a strong emotional connection” ("Internet Infidelity" by Randy Frame). No matter which view is correct, one thing remains the same for both scenarios: extramarital internet relationships inevitably hurt all people involved.
